Gas contract renewal planner

Calculate a notice date and preparation window from your contract terms.

The short answer

Calculate a notice date and preparation window from your contract terms.

Renewal planning dates

Enter your actual contract end date and notice rule. This tool does not schedule reminders.

Private by design: values remain in this page. They are not saved, sent with an inquiry or used for analytics.

Work backward from the actual agreement

The calculated notice date is the entered end date minus the entered calendar-day notice period. The preparation date is thirty calendar days before that calculated deadline. These are planning aids, not a legal interpretation or an automated reminder service.

  1. Find the complete executed agreement and any amendments.
  2. Identify the term end, renewal language and notice recipient.
  3. Check whether notice must be received, not merely sent, by a deadline.
  4. Verify calendar versus business days and the permitted delivery method.
  5. Keep written evidence of any accepted notice and confirmed enrollment.

If the date has passed, do not assume a contract can be cancelled without cost. Ask the supplier to explain the current status and consult qualified counsel for a material dispute. A new quote does not itself end an old obligation.

Questions worth asking

Are my figures sent to Jaken Energy?

No. Tool calculations run in your browser. Inputs are not stored or attached to an inquiry. Requesting a review opens a separate form with only the topic preselected.

Are the default values current market rates?

No. They are illustrative figures for explaining the arithmetic. Enter the values from your own bill, agreement or written proposal.

Does this create a quote or enrollment?

No. It is a planning tool. Supplier availability, utility eligibility and written contract terms require a separate review.
