Convert therms, MMBtu, CCF and MCF with an explicit heat-content assumption.
Convert gas quantities
Use the heat-content factor from your bill. The default factor is illustrative, not a Florida-wide constant.
Private by design: values remain in this page. They are not saved, sent with an inquiry or used for analytics.
Energy units versus volume units
One therm equals 100,000 Btu. One MMBtu or dekatherm equals ten therms. CCF means one hundred cubic feet; MCF means one thousand cubic feet. A heat-content factor connects physical volume with energy and can vary. Use the conversion shown on your utility bill or contract.
| Conversion | Formula |
|---|---|
| MMBtu to therms | MMBtu × 10 |
| CCF to therms | CCF × therms per CCF |
| MCF to therms | MCF × 10 × therms per CCF |
| $/MMBtu to $/therm | Divide the energy price by 10 |
The tool converts quantities, not prices. A price must be converted inversely: $8 per MMBtu is $0.80 per therm. Do not divide a quantity conversion and a price conversion in the same direction. Fees, pressure adjustments and contract components still need separate review.
Questions worth asking
Are my figures sent to Jaken Energy?
No. Tool calculations run in your browser. Inputs are not stored or attached to an inquiry. Requesting a review opens a separate form with only the topic preselected.
Are the default values current market rates?
No. They are illustrative figures for explaining the arithmetic. Enter the values from your own bill, agreement or written proposal.
Does this create a quote or enrollment?
No. It is a planning tool. Supplier availability, utility eligibility and written contract terms require a separate review.
